Studying for the CPA exam sucks

For those who want to know what it's like to study for this exam....it sucks. The amount of times I have laid in bed at night trying to remember why I ever wanted to be an accountant is countless. I can faintly remember thinking, "Marc, you're good with numbers.....perhaps you should be an accountant!" Seriously though, the actual proffesion isnt that bad, its just this damn exam that lies between me and "mass fortunes" promised by the instructors on my cpa exam study cd's.

Have you ever seen the Internal Revenue Code or accidentally ventured into the wrong part of the libary and happened upon the Financial Accounting Stadards Bulletins? If you did, my guess is that you didnt say to yourself," wow.....I want to read that." Of course you didn't, and neither do I. I'm at the point where I would rather catch the swine flu than venture into my cpa exam study materials to catch up on how to account for sales-back type leases.

Even if I do pass this exam, I still have 2 more parts to take. I passed my first "part" of the exam a few months ago. Essentially, I need to pass all 4 parts of the exam in 18 months. If, and I really mean if, i happen to pass this next part I still have 2 more parts to take.

Just thinking about it stresses me out and makes me want to go back and catch up on my sales-back type leases.
